Tom Ricks is Back

February 9, 2009

A lot of people who weren’t enamored of Michael Moore drew back at the title of Thomas E. Ricks’ book about the first years of the Iraq War… but anyone who took the time to read the book knew that Fiasco was a closely-reported and carefully considered analysis of the horror and desperation that followed the overthrow of one of the world’s worst tyrants.  Now Ricks is back.

Anyone who wants to know if our collective “gamble” on democracy in the Middle East will survive, will want to read this book… [check it out].

Update: National Review has published a long critique of Ricks’ work.  For your consideration: “Ricks repeats fashionable bunk about the Iraq War.”
